TREES PLANTING

Trees provide oxygen, improve air quality, conserve water, and preserve soils. They provide habitats for wildlife and fuel and income for communities. FEES’ tree planting project aims to increase the number of trees planted in Enduimet by establishing tree nurseries to supply a variety of seedlings and planting instructions to local communities and institutions. Besides climate change amelioration, this cultivation will reduce dependence on natural forests for fuel, housing, and village construction wood.

The Foundation for Economic and Environmental Stewardship (FEES) is a nonprofit, nonreligious, nonpartisan, nongovernmental organization that works to develop local environmental conservation projects. We focus on reducing local communities’ dependence on natural resources through education and economic diversification.
